Working Without a Job

The problem with freelancing is finding a steady flow of work. I’ve only been out of school for a few months now and don’t want to go rushing into a job unless I find one that I am really passionate about. In the meantime I’ve been able to pick up some work on my own, some projects just to get some income coming in and others that are actually pretty cool in there own right. So in some form, I’ve been able to work without a job. This is the type of lifestyle I want to strive for. But getting to that next level of sufficient income, where the work I do can actually pay the bills and then some, is a different story. It’s really a tough balance finding enough well-paying work to keep you busy, day after day. I’ll have some super busy days where I couldn’t take on more work if I wanted, and then others, like today, where I have next to nothing on my to-do list. It’s about finding that balance.
