G’day!

Some days are good ones.. today was great. I drove out this morning to Scranton, PA to meet with Kevin Dugan of Fields of Growth. I wrote earlier this week about this program, which uses lacrosse as a relational platform to foster friendships and deliver education, healthcare and various forms of human development to people in Southwest Uganda. The conversation was exciting and stimulating, all with the hopes of getting over there myself and documenting it all with my camera. The seemingly long drive home flew by as I knew I’d have a package awaiting me. Sure enough it was there, a nice brown box wrapped with B&H sticker tape. I have to say getting new film equipment is one of the most exciting things. The new Canon 5D looks great. Problem being, that’s all I’ll be doing is looking, as I need an adapter so I can use my Nikon lenses on my new Canon body. Too much techie talk.. I’ll let you know when I start shooting some images. More exciting news– I’m on call for assisting on a shoot tomorrow in Manhattan for Blackbook magazine and Stoli Vodka. Don’t really know the details, but should be interesting. Secondly I’ve got more work back down in Maryland next weekend. Yes that means more driving, but great money so no complaining here. Thirdly I’ve got some offers for my Redrock lens adapter that came in today which I had put up for sale on Craigslist a few weeks ago. All this combines to make a pretty good/great/exciting day for a guy like me.
