Running = Reflection
I went for another jot around town today as I just couldn’t resist not being outside on this beauty of a day. I love how much scenic diversity I can get around here, from passing stunning million dollar homes in the blocks around my apartment to going along main street and seeing people bustling in and out of shops to the smaller neighborhoods which bring a sense of home as well as cultural diversity.. (man I love Morristown!) But there’s something about running that really moves me (in both a literal and non-literal sense, thanks). It’s definitely my way of venting, letting any and all thoughts go through my head and be processed in the most logical way possible. It’s also a time for brainstorming, coming up with my next (greatest) idea of business opportunities or films. Today I literally expanded my route twice because I just wasn’t ready to get out of this state of mind. It turns out this is a quite healthy way for me to daydream as the miles just rack up. I’m not sure what other people do to fill this void, but I think having that kind of time is essential for your sanity as well as to keep your dreams alive and present. Maybe that’s just me.. but that’s ok, it works!
